Sorry to hear about your poor experience with Kickstarter and Origins. Our agency is actually working with a SUP campaign right now, but I found the difference is the owners are very approachable, update all their backers and they’re established in their field.
Looking at the Origins campaign page I can’t really see any of the major “trust factors” that a potential backer would study in order to then back a campaign…sorry if this doesn’t help much.
In terms of Kickstarter themselves, they’re responsible for this. They listed the campaign, they should of done properly due-dilligence and they shouldn’t of took their % and wiped their hands clean of the campaign once it ended…
